Kulosaari Metro is being renovated. It’s structure and bearing capacity will be strengthened to keep the structure of the bridge in good condition.
Kulosaari Metro has been constructed in 1973, the structures were built using a KA-trunk method. This trunk method has been found to have an increased risk of corrosion in Finnish weather conditions. The bridge is now being corrected as a preventive measure.
The bridge will be re-enforced by newly installed bored piles and foundation base by KFS
